Summary
Wheel entries, weights, settings, recent results, and local statistics are stored in your browser. WheelOSpin does not operate user accounts or upload that wheel state to an application database. Shared and embedded wheels are different: their entries are encoded in a URL and may therefore be visible anywhere that URL is stored or transmitted.
Data stored on your device
WheelOSpin uses browser local storage to remember custom entries, weights, history, statistics, visual theme, and preferences such as sound or confetti. This information normally stays in the browser profile where it was created. Anyone using that profile may be able to see it.
You can edit or clear a wheel in the interface. To remove all saved WheelOSpin state, use your browser's site-data controls. Private browsing, browser cleanup, or device policies may remove local data automatically.
Shared and embedded URLs
Copy Link and Embed place wheel entries in a query parameter. URLs can appear in browser history, chat previews, host-page source, proxy or server logs, and analytics operated by the service where you post them. Do not put passwords, student records, contact details, health information, or other confidential data into a URL you plan to share or embed.
Hosting and security logs
The site is delivered through web-hosting and network infrastructure that may process standard request information such as IP address, requested URL, timestamp, browser information, and security signals. These logs support delivery, abuse prevention, and troubleshooting. They are separate from the wheel state stored in your browser.
Analytics and advertising status
The current site build does not load Google Analytics or the executable Google AdSense ad library. It includes an inert AdSense account meta tag and an ads.txt record so Google can verify site ownership during review. Those verification records do not display ads or read wheel entries.
Before advertising or optional analytics is enabled, WheelOSpin will configure a Google-certified consent management platform where required and update this policy to describe the services, purposes, retention controls, and choices actually in use.
Children and classroom use
Teachers and organizations are responsible for deciding whether entering a student's label is permitted under their policies and applicable law. Use the least identifying label that works, avoid shared URLs containing rosters, and clear site data on shared devices when the list is no longer needed. WheelOSpin does not ask children to create accounts.
